Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Luchador ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Blue Luchador LLC, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Luchador Android app, including the Luchador strip that appears over other apps (together, the "App").

Important: Use of Luchador is subject to our Terms of Service. By installing or using the App, you agree to those Terms.

The App lets you price trading cards shown on a livestream: you turn on screen sharing, and when you tap Scan, the App sends what is on your screen at that moment to our service to identify the card and retrieve market comparison data ("comps").

We collect only the data necessary to operate the App.

Screen capture and scans

The App uses Android's screen sharing, which asks for your permission each time you start it, shows a notification while it is running, and which you can stop at any time from the App or from that notification.

The App uses the "Display over other apps" permission only to show the Luchador strip and your results on top of the app you are watching. It does not read the content of other apps. A screen image is sent to us only when you tap Scan.

When you scan, the image of your screen:

• Is transmitted securely to our backend service for identification.
• Is processed to locate the card and extract card attributes such as player name, year, set, card number, parallel, or grade.
• Is processed in memory and is not retained on our servers after processing is complete.
• Is not sold or used for marketing.
• Is not used to train AI models.

Screen images may include other content that was on your screen at the time, such as livestream chat. We use only the card for identification.

We do not claim ownership of third-party platform content.

Stored on your phone

To show your scan history, the App keeps your recent scans on your phone, including the screen image from each scan, the card identified, and its prices. This stays on your device, is not included in Android backups, and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its storage.

Information we collect

Sign in with Google

You sign in to the App with your Google Account. We receive your Google Account identifier and the email address of that account. We do not receive your Google password. We use them to keep track of your plan and usage, to find a Luchador Chrome extension plan under the same email, and to provide support.

Device and app integrity

To protect the service, the App uses Google's Play Integrity API to confirm that the App is genuine and running on a genuine Android device. The App also creates a random install identifier, which we store to link your phone to your account. We do not collect advertising identifiers.

Subscription data

Subscriptions are purchased and billed through Google Play. If you subscribe, Google provides us with purchase details, including:

• The plan purchased
• Subscription dates, renewals, and cancellations
• Google Play's purchase token for the subscription

We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Chrome extension plans

If you also have a Luchador Chrome extension subscription under the same email address, we check its status with our payment processor so we can offer to use that plan in the App. We receive the plan name and its billing period dates, not payment card details.

Extracted card information

From a scan, we extract structured card data including:

• Player name
• Year
• Set name
• Card number
• Parallel or insert type
• Grade, if applicable

This information is used solely to retrieve comps and display results to you.

Usage and operational data

We collect limited operational data including:

• Number of scans or comp lookups
• Subscription usage totals
• Request timestamps
• Error and performance logs

We use our hosting provider's monitoring tools to monitor system reliability and performance. Diagnostic telemetry generated by our hosting provider may include technical identifiers such as IP address for security and operational monitoring. We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

Permissions the App asks for

• Internet access, to reach our service
• Display over other apps, to show the Luchador strip and results
• Screen sharing, which you approve each time, to capture the image you scan
• Notifications, to show that screen sharing is running

Information we do not collect

We do not collect:

• Your contacts, photos, location, or microphone
• Your screen when you are not scanning
• Your browsing or app activity outside a scan
• Advertising identifiers

How we use information

We use collected information to:

• Identify trading cards from your scans
• Retrieve comps and sales history
• Enforce subscription limits
• Maintain system reliability and prevent abuse
• Provide customer support

We do not sell personal data, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Third-party services

Google

Google provides Sign in with Google, Google Play subscriptions and billing, and the Play Integrity API under its own privacy policy.

Payment processor

Our payment processor handles Chrome extension subscriptions. We use it only to check whether a plan is active, as described above.

Card market data provider

To provide comps and historical sales data, we send structured card identification details (such as player, year, set, card number, parallel, and grade if applicable) and an image of the card to a third-party card market data provider and receive market data in response. No personal account or payment information is shared with this provider.

Cloud and AI providers

We use cloud infrastructure and AI services to analyze scans, write price summaries, and operate backend systems. These providers process data solely to provide functionality and are governed by their own privacy policies.

Data retention

• Scan images are processed in memory and are not stored on our servers.
• Scan history on your phone stays there until you uninstall the App or clear its storage.
• Account, plan, and usage data is retained as long as your account exists, or as necessary to provide service or comply with legal obligations.
• Operational logs may be retained for reliability and security monitoring purposes.

Delete your account and data

You can delete your Luchador account at any time inside the App:

• Open the menu, then Account, then Delete Account, and confirm.

Deleting your account:

• Removes your Google sign-in record and the link between your phone and your account, and any plan and usage data stored for your account.
• Signs you out on every phone where you use Luchador.
• Does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
• Does not affect a Chrome extension plan, which is managed in Chrome.

You can also request deletion without the App by emailing support@blueluchador.com from the email address of your Google Account. Scan history stored on your phone is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its storage.

Platform independence

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or any marketplace, auction site, or livestream platform.

Users are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any platform used alongside the App.

Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transmission and restricted backend access.

No system can guarantee absolute security.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

You may request access to or deletion of the data associated with your account by contacting support@blueluchador.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
